The Arts Club of Washington’s New Kitchen is Now Open!

Dear Fellow Members,

After a complex management experience, I am proud to announce the opening of our new commercial kitchen. As of today, we have passed all final inspections, and have achieved the green light for it to be operational.

Reaching this milestone required perseverance from individuals who remained committed to creating a facility worthy of our historic organization and its future. I want to extend sincere gratitude to our General Manager, Yann Henrotte, for not only assisting with this process, but who also worked a series of minor miracles to keep us and our guests wined and dined throughout the interim. He, as well as our committed Board of Governors, have been steadfast partners, especially when hurdles (both seen and unforeseen) were encountered. And hurdles there were.

Most importantly, I want to thank all of you for your extraordinary patience, fortitude, and continuous support and encouragement. It is clear that we can achieve anything as a community.

More than a new kitchen, this represents an important investment in the life of The Arts Club of Washington. It will strengthen our ability to welcome members and guests, enhance our events and programs, and create new possibilities for hospitality and community.

We have arrived in September, and today our creative sanctuary not only reopens after its annual August break, it awakens to its upcoming autumn season with a long-awaited, completed kitchen. Fun fact: today (to the day) marks the four-year anniversary of the beginning of construction.

After a winding journey, we can finally say: the new kitchen is open, and a new chapter at The Arts Club of Washington begins.
